A1 NVQ Assessors Award

ABA Training offer the highest quality training delivered by a team of experienced training specialists, who are practicing managers and team leaders. This is not a course but rather a competence assessment for those who are already involved in an NVQ Assessor role NVQ Assessment Centre. You will receive individual coaching and support to put together a portfolio of evidence to prove your competence in NVQ assessment. You will need occupational competence, experience and qualifications in the industry area you want to assess in.

How does it work

Successful candidates in the A1 NVQ Assessor Award will demonstrate their ability to:

• Develop realistic plans for assessment with candidates
• Assess them by a range of methods
• Make valid assessment decisions
• Make appropriate records of assessment decisions
• Give feedback to candidates on their performance and review their progress
• Work with other people involved in the process such as tutors and Internal Verifiers

Who is this course for

The A1 NVQ Assessor Award is designed to offer those individuals who are, or will be, concerned with assessing learners taking NVQ courses, a programme of training in skills, techniques and principles of assessing competency using a variety of assessment methods.

Workshop Aims

On successful completion of the A1 NVQ Assessor Award you will have achieved the Certificate in Assessing Candidates Using a Range of Methods. In addition to the A1 NVQ Assessor Award being a qualification in its own right the A1 Award enables you to progress to further qualifications as it is integral to both the Internal Vefrifier Awards and External Verifier Awards. It is also an optional Unit towards NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development and NVQ Level 3 in Direct Training and Support.
