Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS)

ABA training offer bespoke, work based training to provide an award winning, nationally recognised, assessment and training scheme for minibus drivers in the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.

How does it work

Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) provides a nationally recognised standard of training to people whose role it is to provide care and assistance to passengers travelling by road whether it be in cars, taxis, minicabs or large buses.

Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) applies to paid staff, volunteers and people performing the dual role of driver/carer.

The Passenger Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) course consists of:

  • Module A: Assisting passengers with disabilities (not wheelchair users)
  • Module B: Assisting wheelchair users
  • Module C1: Assisting children and young people
  • Module C2: Assisting older people

Who is this course for
