Qualified Assessor

We are looking for experienced Qualified Assessors to join us and to assist on a variety of new programmes that we have currently underway and for new ones that are due to start in the coming months.

We are particularly interested in assessors with competence in; Waste Management, but are keen to talk with assessor in areas such as Transport, Teaching Assistants (Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) Business Administration, Retail, Engineering, Accountancy, Warehousing.

However, if you are an assessor in a discipline that is not listed then still make contact and have a chat to see if that discipline is part of our ongoing plan to introduce.

Duties include:-

• Producing assessment plans for candidates.
• Conduct assessments in line with the assessors Code of Practice and the Quality Control requirements of ABA.
• Complete assessments in line with agreed completion dates according to the relevant programmes.
• Maintain progress records of candidates and provide feedback to the office.
• Provide Information, advice and guidance to candidates in line with expertise.
• Attend external verifier meetings as necessary.
• Contribute to standardisation meetings.
• Maintain their technical competence.
• Maintain their individual CPD.
• Complete the necessary documentation needed to complete the assessment for the candidates.
• Attending sign up and celebration events as appropriate.
• Implement and maintain safe working operations in line with the ABA H&S policies and procedures.
• Ensuring all accidents to the assessor and candidates are reported to the office.
• Reporting any issue that might compromise the assessment or ABA.

Successful applicants will need to have :-

• A1 assesors qualification (or D32, 33 units)
• Appropriate technical knowledge
• Ability to plan
• Good communication skills
• Ability to drive
• Good time keeping

Applicants with previous experience of working with government funded training services would be favourable.
